Love it or loathe it, communicating virtually is here to stay.

But it isn't as simple as just attending a Zoom or Teams meeting and sitting there.

A few months, or even weeks ago, it was ok to not to turn on your camera when attending business meetings online

But that time has passed!

You now need to be seen - and in a professional way!

How often do you join an online call to have your colleagues yawning, looking for their headphones, not having their webcam set up, losing focus and being distracted?

Have you considered how you come across to others online, and how this could be affecting your professional reputation?

Have you considered cultural differences, colleagues struggling with technology, fear of messing up, fear of presenting or people feeling lonely and disconnected due to remote working?

We all have role to play in understanding what is needed in this new online business world, and it is our duty to help our colleagues, teams and clients adapt.

Communicating virtually involves a whole new set of skills that you can't afford NOT to be leveraging  for your business.

Working virtually is doing the work you would normally do in the office from another location.

For most of us, this means working from home

This brings the challenges of having to work around childcare, home schooling, running the house and being at the call of others.

Because people are working from different locations, the skills for communicating clearly and concisely have never been more important for

As more and more companies are moving part of their operation to working permanently from home, there are new communication factors to consider.

For example, liberating people work at the time it suits them (within an agreed timescale)

This introduces the whole area of asynchronous communication, when people are working on the same project at different locations at different times.

I was able to pivot my training company, from one that delivered classroom training to online training in only two weeks.

In this webinar I share with you some of the important things I learned about the differences in communicating virtually compared to face to face.

I am looking forward to seeing you so the 20 July at 2pm UK time
