Is this you?

Built for managers who are capable β€” and stretched thin.

This is for you if:

  • βœ“You were promoted for your technical or delivery skill, not for people skills
  • βœ“Your team brings you problems instead of solutions
  • βœ“You've attended leadership training before and were unable to apply what you learned
  • βœ“You want a practical model, not more theory
  • βœ“You're responsible for developing other managers too

What changes by day two

  • βœ“You'll have a repeatable model for any coaching conversation
  • βœ“You'll recognise the moment you're about to rescue β€” and how to stop
  • βœ“You'll have practised the Four Ownership Questions live
  • βœ“You'll leave with a plan for your next three real conversations
  • βœ“Your certificate: 10 hours CPD, accredited

What supports the model

Seven tools, taught and practised over two days

01
Tool 01

RAFT

A simple lens for reading what's really driving someone's behaviour: their Reality, Actions, Feelings and Thoughts. You'll use it to notice what's driving a problem before you respond to it.

Β
"She's not being difficult about the deadline β€” her actions say overwhelm, not resistance."
02
Tool 02

SPLATR

An information-gathering model for asking questions that create total clarity for everyone involved - Situation, People, Location, Action, Time and Reason. You'll use it to get the full picture fast, before deciding what to do about it.

Β
"Before we jump to a fix, let's get the full picture - what's the situation, who's involved, and what needs to happen by when."
03
Tool 03

The Leadership Trap

The cycle capable managers fall into without meaning to: people bring you a problem, you solve it, they leave happy, they come back next time - and they get more dependent while you get busier. It happens through three habits: giving answers too quickly, taking responsibility that belongs to someone else, and rescuing instead of coaching. Naming it is what makes it possible to interrupt it.

Β
"I caught myself starting with 'here's what I'd do' - and stopped."
04
Tool 04

The Four Ownership Questions

A short, repeatable set of four questions that hand a problem back to the person who owns it, because every one of them makes the other person think. Practised until it feels natural, not scripted.

Β
"What outcome are you hoping for?" Β· "What have you already thought about?" Β· "What other options do you have?" Β· "What will you do next?"
05
Tool 05

GROW Model

The classic coaching structure β€” Goal, Reality, Options, Way Forward - used here as the backbone for turning a coaching conversation into a clear, owned action, not just a good chat.

Β
"A 15-minute check-in becomes: clear goal, honest reality, three real options, one committed step."
06
Tool 06

The Coaching Wheel

A visual tool for helping someone see their whole situation at a glance β€” where they're strong, where they're stretched, and where the real conversation needs to happen β€” instead of getting stuck on the loudest symptom.

Β
"Used in a 1:1, it turns "everything feels overwhelming" into three named, workable areas."
07
Tool 07

Liberated Leadership

The mindset that holds the whole model together: leadership isn't about having every answer it's about building people who don't need you to. This is the shift you'll carry back to your desk on Monday.

Β
"My job isn't to be needed for everything. It's to be needed for less, over time - on purpose."
